DIY Seashell Trinket Dishes for Your Next Girls Club Get-Together

Craft, chat, and create something beautiful!

Looking for the perfect hands-on activity for your next Girls Club get-together? These DIY seashell trinket dishes are charming, beachy, and surprisingly easy to make! Whether you’re planning a cozy night in with your besties or a weekend gathering with your daughters, this simple craft is the perfect mix of fun and fabulous.

They make adorable catch-all dishes for jewelry, hair clips, or little treasures—and they’re a great way to reuse shells you’ve collected on past vacations (or found at the craft store!).

🐚 Here’s How to Create Your Own Seashell Trinket Dish:

You’ll Need:

Large seashells (cleaned and dry)

Mod Podge

Decorative paper napkins (look for cute florals, stripes, or Girls Club-inspired prints!)

Small paintbrush

Gold acrylic paint

Scissors

Step-by-Step Instructions:

1. Mod Podge the shell

Start by brushing a thin layer of Mod Podge onto the inside of your shell. This helps the napkin stick and smooth out beautifully.

2. Add a decorative napkin and smooth it out

Take a decorative napkin, separate it so only the top printed layer remains, and gently press it into the shell. Use your fingers or a soft brush to smooth out any wrinkles. It doesn’t have to be perfect—charm is in the details!

3. Mod Podge the napkin

Once your napkin is in place, brush a light layer of Mod Podge over the top to seal it. Let it dry completely—this step gives it a glossy, finished look.

4. Trim the excess napkin edges

After the napkin has dried, carefully trim the edges using small scissors or a craft knife to match the shape of the shell.

5. Paint the edge with gold paint to finish

Now for the magic touch: paint the edge of the shell with gold acrylic paint. This step gives it that elevated, boutique-worthy finish!

Girls Club Twist:

Make this part of your Girls Club night! Set up a crafting station with shells, paint, napkins, and brushes - plus a playlist, snacks, and maybe a few mocktails (or cocktails!). Everyone will leave with a sweet little dish and even sweeter memories.

This craft is easy enough for younger girls to enjoy too, with a little grown-up help, making it a perfect multi-generational activity.
